Businesses
are an important part of our community. They
strengthen our economy by providing local jobs
and services that are essential for life on the
Central Coast. The business sector has come under
increasing pressure to improve environmental
performance as our population increases and more
and more businesses open. Many businesses in
the Monterey Bay Area strive to be
environmentally responsible by reducing waste
and using less toxic alternatives to traditionally
used chemicals. This is why the Monterey Bay
Area Green Business Program was started – to
assist businesses to go above and beyond environmental
compliance by providing free technical
assistance about environmental issues, and then
recognize and promote their efforts to the community..
The Green Business Program
can teach you and your employees how to reduce
waste, increase energy efficiency, use less toxic
products to minimize health concerns, AND increase
profits by going green. Visit the Green
Business web site now for program details and application
packets.

Creek and Pajaro Valley Water Districts, the Monterey
Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District, the
