Monterey Bay Area Regional Multifamily Recycling Project

Ecology Action’s Multifamily Recycling Grant works in partnership with twelve local agencies and haulers to implement comprehensive recycling and waste reduction programs at low income multifamily housing complexes throughout the Monterey Bay Area by offering technical assistance and outreach and education.

This project is targeting one hundred (100) low income multifamily housing complexes throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties to implement comprehensive and convenient recycling programs by distributing internal recycling bins for each unit, providing one-on-one outreach and education, thematic educational materials, and technical assistance. The project will also host a number of events to encourage resident participation and provide additional workshops (reduce, reuse, composting, etc.) to residents interested in learning more about how to further reduce their waste.
