Electric Vehicle Programs

Ecology Action is a fiscal sponsor of the Monterey Bay Electric Vehicle Alliance and works to provide educational opportunities for Monterey Bay Area residents to consider cleaner fuel options and has helped install over 40 electric vehicle charging stations.

Overview

Ecology Action coordinates educational workshops and events showcasing electric vehicles and other types of alternative fuel options to assist Monterey Bay area residents with deciding whether a cleaner fuel option is right for them. From test drives to informative workshops led by local experts and alternative fuel vehicle owners themselves we provide many opportunities for people to get plugged in!

Ecology Action is the fiscal sponsor of the Monterey Bay Electric Vehicle Alliance (MBEVA) and maintains MBEVA’s informative website which provides everyone from residents, current owners, and fleet managers with information on types of electric vehicles on the market today, rebates and incentives available for purchase, best practices for fleet operators, and more. Visit the MBEVA website for resources and information on upcoming workshops and events.

Ecology Action, along with MBEVA, is committed to working with the region to develop a network of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations that is strategically designed to relieve potential “range anxiety” that EV owners may experience and spur the adoption of electric vehicles. To date, Ecology Action has helped install over 43 EV charging stations in the Monterey Bay region.
