We’ll cover site preparation with sheet mulching, templates for planting plans, converting your sprinkler system to drip irrigation, harvesting rainwater in the landscape, and rebates and grants available for your project.
Share your ideas for better walking, bicycling, skating, and scooting in unincorporated Santa Cruz County! Join us for a virtual meeting focused on South County (Corralitos, Green Valley Corridor, & Amesti), which will cover:
- Overview of the Active Transportation Plan (ATP) process
- Share your input on the barriers to walking and biking
- Share any ideas for new projects you would like to see included in the ATP

Follow along with this DIY at-home experiment to explore the effects of ocean acidification on shelled sea creatures. Watch to learn about the research at UC Santa Cruz that investigates this problem and the things we can change in our daily lives to minimize our carbon footprints—then try the experiment out for yourself!
Presented by Regeneración Pajaro Valley in collaboration with the California State University Monterey Bay. This forum will shed light on how the climate emergency disproportionately impacts girls and women and the essential work that they do. Speakers will explore the intersection of sexism, racism, classism, and other oppressions as they tell their stories of climate impacts, climate activism, building climate resilient communities, and working for social and environmental justice.

Staff from Ecology Action will share the need-to-knows of bike commuting, trouble-shoot your commute and after-work errands, and help cyclists of all levels plan for a safe and satisfying ride.
