Our walking audits help uncover the biggest infrastructure and safety needs at these schools.

We want to ensure that your voice is heard.

No problem.

Add your comments about traffic safety issues around schools that you would like to see included in the Safe Routes to School Plan.

Ex. Missing bike lanes, broken sidewalks, unsafe crosswalks, drivers going too fast in specific locations, etc.

Become a school stakeholder.

We have completed two public meetings that took place on September 26th and 27th and are now looking for parents, neighbors and community members to act as stakeholders for each school.

We'd love to hear from you.

Can't make the audit?.

Traffic violence affects cyclists and pedestrians more here.

Our goal is zero traffic-related injuries for your children.

While biking and walking account for only 3% of trips in Watsonville, cyclists and pedestrians are involved in 75% of injury crashes.

In 2014, Watsonville was ranked 1st out of 105 similarly sized cities for crashes involving pedestrians under the age of 15, and 4th worst for pedestrian collisions that resulted in injuries or fatalities.

To sign up for an audit, enter your contact info above.

Read the final plan at the link below and join us for the presentation of the final plan to the Watsonville City Council and the Pajaro Valley Unified School District Board.

Hard copies of the Plan will also be available at the downtown Watsonville and Freedom libraries.

Tuesday, February 25th, time TBD: Watsonville City Council (check the agenda here after February 21st to verify the time)

Wednesday, February 26th at 7:00pm: Pajaro Valley Unified School District Board
