Invest in a legacy of solutions
Joining our Planned Giving Program is one of the most powerful actions you can take to help solve the climate crisis. A legacy commitment is an investment in equitable, sustainable work that will directly serve our most vulnerable populations and help secure the future for generations to come.
Gifts can be made through your estate or will with Ecology Action named as a beneficiary. These gifts can reduce the taxable portion of an estate and decrease your federal and state tax liability.
Planned gifts come in many forms
Consider making a gift in the following ways:
Specific Bequests:
Ecology Action receives a specific dollar amount, percentage, or designated item of property through your estate plan.Residuary Bequests:
A percentage or all of the remainder of your estate after other specified bequests have been fulfilled.Retirement Plans:
If you have a qualified retirement account IRA/401(k) etc. leaving the remainder of the account to Ecology Action is a meaningful way to avoid a heavy tax burden if left to individuals.Additional planned gifts:
Appreciated stock or other publicly traded assets (bonds, efts, mutual funds, etc.), non-cash gifts (real estate residential or commercial), donor advised funds, gifts of life insurance. Please consult with your accountant or financial advisor to discuss your unique situation to determine what option is best for you.
