Safeway

Ecology Action works directly with Safeway’s corporate management team to deliver a portfolio of comprehensive energy efficiency upgrades addressing both lighting and refrigeration in SMUD, Alameda Municipal Power, City of Palo Alto Utility, and Puget Sound Energy territories. Our trusted partnership with Safeway allows us to quickly and efficiently design upgrades, gain executive approval and complete retrofits for Safeway’s portfolio of facilities spanning the West Coast.

In the first phase of implementation in 2 stores in Washington state, EnergyConnect’s qualified contractors installed Anti Sweat Door Heater Controls which offer significant utility savings with a payback threshold of under 2-years. Safeway’s investment in the project was offset by Energy Connects ability to identify, maximize and secure rebates offered by the network of utilities serving customers across the Western U.S.
