Color Fun Run registration starts at 8:00am please scan the QR code located on the flyer to register for the run. Family Fun Event starts 9:00am and the nature walk starts at 11:20am.

Downtown Santa Cruz Earth Day Celebration 2024

• Date: Saturday April 20, 2024
• Time: 11:30am-4:00pm
• Location Abbott Square 725, Front St Santa Cruz, CA 95060

Earth Day 2024 will be held at beautiful Downtown Santa Cruz on Cooper st, Pacific Ave, and Abbott Square. Local businesses and organization will gather for a day of fun and environmentally focused activities and education.

This event will feature:

• Live music from Coffee Zombie Collective
• Face Painting from Brenda’s Facepainting
• Mother Song with Joya Winwood (singalong for families with babies) shows at 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
• Samba Stilt Walkers from Emotiv Dance
• Photobooth
• Local vendors
• Educational booths

This free, family-friendly event will have many activities for kids to take part in, like the interactive Passport Program where kids can earn a sweet treat from Mission Hill Creamery or Pacific Cookie Company by participating. There will be an environmentally focused fashion show featuring local kids from the Fashion Teens program.

Join us and learn how you can help us make a difference in a larger scale, we have opportunities all around the Central Coast from Santa Cruz to King City, though we also do a bit of work over the hill in Santa Clara County.

By joining the Ecology Action team, you might find yourself providing safe biking and walking lessons to elementary students, engaging farmers market attendees regarding the benefits of electric vehicles, assisting at a free bike repair event, installing drought-tolerant landscapes.

We are excited to be part of this year’s Children’s Day Celebration, come on out and say hello.

Ecology Action will be sharing program information and opportunities for the community to become an active participant volunteer/Internship opportunity.

EV Display Show @ Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Watsonville

Have a persistent squeaky brake? Rusty chain? Flat tire? Have your bike checked by one of our mechanics for free! Book a time with us, and we’ll help your bike out with minor tune-ups and repairs to get you rolling into spring!

Volunteer Opportunity – Join our team Walk and Roll to School Day!

Walk and Roll to School Day (WRTS) happens bi-annually: one in the Fall (October) and one in Spring (May). For many years, Ecology Action has been organizing county wide WRTS events.

Details: Support with packing food and prizes for 35+ schools. Tasks would include but not limited to taping boxes together, packaging food, fruits, and juice into boxes; and labeling and ensuring right number of supplies are accounted.
