We are excited to share with student’s internship opportunities during this year’s CSUMB recruiting Mixer Monday April 22, 2024
Join us and learn how you can help us make a difference in a larger scale, we have opportunities all around the Central Coast from Santa Cruz to King City, though we also do a bit of work over the hill in Santa Clara County.
By joining the Ecology Action team, you might find yourself providing safe biking and walking lessons to elementary students, engaging farmers market attendees regarding the benefits of electric vehicles, assisting at a free bike repair event, installing drought-tolerant landscapes.

Join our team during this year’s Soledad Earth Day, Safe Routes to School. Stop by and say hello and learn more on how our Safe Routes to School team provides students with the opportunity to learn bike safety and walk safety.

Ecology Action – Safe Routes to School Resource Fair Children’s Day!
We are excited to be part of this year’s Children’s Day Celebration, come on out and say hello.
Ecology Action will be sharing program information and opportunities for the community to become an active participant volunteer/Internship opportunity.
Walk with us at 1pm and be entered to win FUN PRIZES
Look for the Ecology Action table and enter to win an Ecology Action T-Shirt along with a Safe Routes to School Reusable water bottle.
Have a persistent squeaky brake? Rusty chain? Flat tire? Have your bike checked by one of our mechanics for free! Book a time with us, and we’ll help your bike out with minor tune-ups and repairs to get you rolling into spring!

Volunteer Opportunity – Join our team Walk and Roll to School Day!
Walk and Roll to School Day (WRTS) happens bi-annually: one in the Fall (October) and one in Spring (May). For many years, Ecology Action has been organizing county wide WRTS events.
Details: Support with packing food and prizes for 35+ schools. Tasks would include but not limited to taping boxes together, packaging food, fruits, and juice into boxes; and labeling and ensuring right number of supplies are accounted.

This event will be outdoors comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended.

Community Bike & All-Santa Cruz Cleanup Day!
We will kick things off with a community park clean-up at Pinto Lake County Park @ 1pm

- Time 1:00pm-4:00pm
- Starting at Pinto Lake County Park & clean up!
Ride along the beautiful Green Valley Corridor, celebrate Mother’s Day, and connect with Mother Nature on our ride. All ages are welcome to join us from 1pm to 4pm as we bike to local parks and participate in the Santa Cruz clen-up day. Stops will include Pinto Lake County Park, Mesa Village Park, and Pinto Lake City Park.
- Free bike lights, snacks, and more!
- Youth participants will be entered in to win a scooter and skateboard.
