Ecology Action – Safe Routes to School Resource Fair Children’s Day!
We are excited to be part of this year’s Children’s Day Celebration, come on out and say hello.
Ecology Action will be sharing program information and opportunities for the community to become an active participant volunteer/Internship opportunity.
Walk with us at 1pm and be entered to win FUN PRIZES
Look for the Ecology Action table and enter to win an Ecology Action T-Shirt along with a Safe Routes to School Reusable water bottle.
Have a persistent squeaky brake? Rusty chain? Flat tire? Have your bike checked by one of our mechanics for free! Book a time with us, and we’ll help your bike out with minor tune-ups and repairs to get you rolling into spring!

Volunteer Opportunity – Join our team Walk and Roll to School Day!
Walk and Roll to School Day (WRTS) happens bi-annually: one in the Fall (October) and one in Spring (May). For many years, Ecology Action has been organizing county wide WRTS events.
Details: Support with packing food and prizes for 35+ schools. Tasks would include but not limited to taping boxes together, packaging food, fruits, and juice into boxes; and labeling and ensuring right number of supplies are accounted.

- Time: 9 – 2PM.
- Location: Ecology Action Parking lot – 877 Cedar Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060.
- Snacks and waters will be available.
This event will be outdoors comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended.

UC Santa Cruz Volunteer Fair
Ecology Action is thrilled to be a part of this year’s SVC Volunteer Fair Wednesday May 8, 2024

Salinas Resource Fair @ El Gabilan Elementary School
Ecology Action will be participating during this event at El Gabilan Elementary School, starting at 1:30pm. You will have the opportunity to learn more about our Safe Routes to School Program. We have many opportunities for those looking to get involved and help give back. Our programs teach students best practices when riding a bike, crossing the street safely and much more.

Community Bike & All-Santa Cruz Cleanup Day!
- Date: May 11, 2024
- Time: 1:00pm-4:00pm
- Location: Starting at Pinto Lake County Park
Volunteers can participate by Riding along the beautiful Green Valley Corridor and connect with Mother Nature on our ride. All ages are welcome to join us from 1pm to 4pm as we bike to local parks and participate in the Santa Cruz clen-up day.
We will end the ride with a community walk and Community Clean-up @ Pinto Lake County Park from 3pm -4pm
- Free bike lights, snacks, and more!
- Youth participants will be entered in to win a scooter and skateboard.
- Supplies for the clean-up will be provided.
- Community Service hour available

Free E-Bike Demos with Gazelle Bikes
Ride off Mother’s Day brunch with an invigorating spin on a Gazelle e-bike! We’re offering free demo rides from 12-4pm at our Westside showroom. Bring Mom, bring Dad, or just bring yourself!

E-Bike Safety Workshop – Go Santa Cruz
This workshop is offered both as an in-person lunch-and-learn at the Civic and virtually via Zoom.
E-bikes are here to stay, and with the right preparation, riding them can be safe and rewarding.
